Evoking the essence of ancient bestiaries, the series amalgamates creatures from diverse origins and habitats. Traditional animal motifs are reimagined using innovative materials, with the crafted pieces in steel and aluminum capturing the delicacy of paper while embodying the resilience of metal

Conceived in the digital realm, Bestiario was tailored for digital fabrication using Computer-Aided Machines, yet each piece is meticulously hand-folded and painted. The outcome? A collection of industrial sculptures that masterfully intertwines technological finesse with the soulful resonance of art.

Rodrigo Solórzano is an industrial designer who often ventures into the art world. His works have found homes in different parts of the world, from the London Parliament to catwalks in Japan or a luxury hotel in Morocco. Various collaborations have led him to explore the world of fashion and robotics, manufacture health allies, and enrich childhood landscapes. His work is a meditation on the limits between aesthetics and practicality, in which the contradiction between utility and beauty disappears.

Our sculptures, precise puzzles birthed from state-of-the-art machinery, embody an intersection of art and technology. Each cut and fold is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, transforming materials into complex, three-dimensional masterpieces. They stand not only as objects but as narratives, where design meets innovation in metal.

 

We employ a highly resilient polyester powder coating, an eco-conscious method using solvent-free plastic resins. These resins are minutely ground and applied with specialized equipment, enabling the powder to adhere to the substrate, offering exceptional weather resistance. This high-performance coating is specifically tailored for demanding architectural applications.

Every work of art created by Bestiario has a limited edition or is an original. All the artwork is provided with a digital certificate of authenticity from Verisart, the world's leading platform to certify and verify artworks and collectables using Bitcoin blockchain. Verisart is used by prominent artists, for example, contemporary artists Shepard Fairey and Ai Wei Wei, galleries, as well as museums and auction houses to combine museum-grade certification standards.
